Lakeside Learning Center offers full time educational services to parents who wish to provide their child with a quality private education. Most parents feel that their children are getting lost in an immense school system where their child is a number amongst hundreds and is being forced to produce work which will enable the children to perform well on the FCAT. This driven FCAT curriculum is tedious, dull, and detours children from a love of learning. At Lakeside, your child is one of a small classroom. Private school is offered during a regular school year, Monday –Friday, from 8:45am – 2:30 pm.
Lakeside also offers homework support,
individual tutoring, and small group
tutoring. We can help your child improve their math abilities, reading comprehension, decoding skills, encoding skills, or simply help in a research project. Please click
on admissions for further information.

*These learning programs require certified and/or trained specialists.
As the quote suggests, Lakeside feels each child can meet his or her individual goals and academic potential through the mastery of the national standards in each content area. Lakeside Learning Center believes that a child centered approach in a highly academically enriched environment that emphasizes cooperation, new skills development, respect and a strong sense of responsibility is the key to any child’s success. This can be accomplished by our small classroom sizes.
We value an integrated curriculum supported through
authentic literature and individual investigation of subject
matter. We also embrace an “old school” mentality
where school should stimulate a child in a
multidimensional environment so that learning is
enjoyable. We feel this objective can be attained
by integrating Science, Social Studies,
and the Arts.
Lakeside also believes that while a child
is engaged in learning, technology can
easily be integrated into the curriculum to
reinforce specific national standards.
We feel that if each child achieves
mastery of pertinent concepts, coupled
with peer involvement, integration of
subject matter, and the development
of a positive self-concept, the student
will build a solid foundation that will
promote a love of life long learning.
